Abstract

This article analyzes the reforms implemented during the New Uzbekistan period aimed at reducing
poverty and their effectiveness at the regional level (using the example of the Kashkadarya region). The article
examines the social orientation of state policy, mechanisms for expanding income sources of the population, ensuring
employment, and supporting entrepreneurship. In addition, it highlights the role of the mahalla-based system in
reducing poverty at the regional level.
