Ways to increase the strategic role of green employment in sustainable development

Abstract

This article explores the role and importance of “green employment” in achieving national Sustainable
Development Goals. Creating jobs that are environmentally friendly, efficient, and based on social equality is seen as
an important factor in the transition to a green economy. The article highlights the possibilities of green employment
in Uzbekistan, existing obstacles and promising solutions. Practical proposals were also put forward to expand green
jobs through education, infrastructure, financial resources, and public awareness. Recommendations for further improvement of the national strategy based on foreign experience are given.
