Living standards of the population: theoretical basis of social and economic essence and classification

Abstract

As a result of the consistent reforms carried out in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the increase in the standard
and quality of life of the population, the increase in the share of income from entrepreneurial activity in the income of
the population, the expansion of the use of services by the population in the service sector lead to positive changes in
socio-economic development. The article presents the theoretical foundations of socio-economic development, the
problems of economic development and ways to solve them, theories related to the welfare and standard of living
of the population, presents ideas about the composition and level of constantly changing needs of the population
for various goods, the possibilities of satisfying needs, income and distribution of the population. The article also
considers such issues as the level of welfare, the scale of efficiency in the production and service spheres, the level
of scientific and technological development, the cultural and educational level of the population, national charac
teristics and dependence on political power, the general level and quality of life. The article also describes in detail
the most important aspects of the study of the socio-economic life of the population, namely, the assessment of the
main qualitative characteristics of a person who is a participant in economic activity.
