MODERN APPROACHES TO ENSURING ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY IN HOUSING AND COMMUNAL SERVICES

Abstract

This article analyzes modern approaches to ensuring environmental sustainability in the housing and
communal services system from scientific-theoretical and practical perspectives. The study substantiates the relevance
of ensuring environmental sustainability under conditions of accelerated urbanization processes, increasing demand
for resources, and growing negative impacts on the environment. The essence of such approaches as the rational use
of energy and water resources, effective waste management, implementation of digital monitoring systems, and the
use of renewable energy sources is revealed. In addition, the role of improving institutional and regulatory mechanisms
in the sustainable development of housing and communal services is highlighted. The research results make it possible
to formulate scientific conclusions aimed at ensuring the harmony of environmental and economic interests, improving
the quality of life of the population, and enhancing environmental safety.
