THE SIGNIFICANCE AND ROLE OF TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS INFRASTRUCTURE IN REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

This article examines the strategic importance of transport and logistics infrastructure in the
development of the regional economy. The impact of infrastructure projects on the growth of gross regional product,
as well as issues related to the reduction of transport costs and the enhancement of investment attractiveness, are
analyzed. Based on statistical data, the study identifies the role of infrastructure projects as a driver of regional
economic growth, their contribution to cost optimization, and their effect on increasing investment attractiveness.
Furthermore, the updated legislative framework of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025–2026, particularly the
regulatory documents governing the activities of logistics centers, is analyzed.
