Enhancing energy efficiency and energy saving in water management systems

Abstract

the study examines the issues of energy saving and improving energy efficiency in the water management
systems of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main directions for reducing electricity losses at pumping stations
are presented, including the replacement of outdated equipment, installation of capacitor banks and frequency
converters, the use of solar panels, and modernization of cable lines. Monitoring conducted during 2015–2023 showed significant electricity savings, confirming the effectiveness of the implemented measures. The obtained
results correspond to the goals of the national comprehensive energy efficiency program for 2019–2025.
