Green energy as a factor of sustainable development

The article examines the interconnection between the development of “green energy” and the achievement
of sustainable development goals. It analyzes global trends in the energy transition, its driving forces, economic and
technological levers, as well as the role of international agreements such as the Paris Agreement. Particular attention
is given to Uzbekistan’s strategy for transitioning to a “green economy,” its goals up to 2030, and key projects in
the field of renewable energy sources. Existing challenges, including the high cost of technologies and the lack of
financial mechanisms, are noted, and possible directions for overcoming them are proposed.
