Abstract

The article examines the evolution and institutionalization of the FinTech industry in Uzbekistan within the
broader context of the country’s digital economic transformation. Based on statistical data and international reports,
the study demonstrates that FinTech has become a key driver of financial inclusion, innovation, and digital ecosystem
development. The paper identifies the main structural components of the Uzbek FinTech market, including payment
services, neobanking, POS financing, BNPL, and Islamic FinTech, and analyzes both the growth factors and existing
challenges. The study also highlights institutional reforms, venture investment trends, and international integration
processes. The proposed policy measures focus on regulatory enhancement, infrastructure development, and
human capital formation, which will strengthen Uzbekistan’s role as a regional FinTech hub in Central Asia.
